Sports Illustrated - ASC Advantage Basketball CampThe first American Sports Centers (ASC) was developed in 2003 with the intent of creating a successful business model for a world class indoor recreation facility that could be duplicated in multiple locations across the country. Our model facility in Anaheim, California has proven successful and is one of the most popular and recognized indoor recreation facilities in the country. ASC Anaheim hosts more than 700,000 players and spectators each year in our 150,000 square foot facility. Our 22 volleyball/16 basketball courts are wood surfaced and according to HARO floors, is the single largest wood floor application in the world. ASC Anaheim also boasts 9 indoor soccer courts, a retail shop, a coffee house serving Starbuck's Coffee, a Courtside Café, meeting rooms, multiple offices.

Multi-Sport

NJB - National Jounior BasketballMany sports organizations call ASC their home, including; the United States Men's National (Olympic) Volleyball Team - having moved to ASC from the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, the National Basketball Association's (NBA) Anaheim Arsenal Developmental Basketball Team, EuroGymnastics, a world class rhythmic gymnastics training organization, Southern California Volleyball Association, National Junior Basketball Association, Golden West Volleyball, Competitive Athletic Training Zone, Collegiate Sports of America - Prep Star (an athlete/recruiting organization), College Sports Quest (preparing high school student athletes for college), Interamericana Indoor Soccer League, and others.

USA VolleyballWhen speaking of the USA Men's National Volleyball Team moving to ASC, Anaheim Mayor Curt Pringle stated, "This is the future of Anaheim. This will benefit the City, the team and the volleyball community as a whole and we hope that many other amateur sports programs will follow."

Last year, ASC hosted tournaments over 50 weekends. Tournaments included youth and adult volleyball, youth and adult basketball, and indoor soccer (Futsol). The tournaments ranged from smaller, local tournaments to very large, Junior Olympics Qualifiers, with many hundreds of teams from dozens of states competing.

The John R. Wooden CourseIn addition to sports tournaments, events such as camps, clinics, high school tournaments, collegiate practices, events for the Special Olympics, YMCA, other charity organizations, and civic groups are hosted. Notable events include; John Wooden's Pyramid of Success Corporate Training and the Junior NBA Summer Camp.

ASC AwardsASC has been recognized as a leader in our industry and as such has received numerous awards. The City of Anaheim, Anaheim Chamber of Commerce, County of Orange, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Office, The California State Assembly and Congress have all honored ASC as "Small Business of the Year". Volleyball Magazine listed ASC as one of the "Top 8 Indoor Facilities" in the country.

Host Hotels

In addition to enhancing the quality of life for local families, ASC becomes an integral member of the business community. We work cooperatively with our City partners to draw visitors and recognition to our partner cities. In Anaheim, ASC has entered sponsorship and host hotel arrangements with: Coca Cola, Volvo, Hilton Suites, Holiday Inn, Radisson Hotels, Desert Palms Hotels, and Carousel Inn and Suites.

Community-Minded

Special OlympicsAs part of our responsibility to our local communities, ASC looks for opportunities to give back. We host Special Olympics events, annual Christmas holiday parties for disadvantaged youngsters, and other activities for local youth. We offer discounted rates for seniors to encourage their participation in physical activities. ASC also is proud to open our facilities at no charge to local fire fighters and police officers to assist in the physical training and recreation.
